My favorite quote, and a good summary of myself. I'm adventurous. A smart adventurous though, not reckless. I might plan a trip somewhere I've never been, and go alone. But I will pack sensibly and have a good plan.

I love web design and development. I love biology and teratology. I love movies. I love bike riding and kickboxing. I love reading. I love learning about new things, seeing new things, going new places, meeting new and different people.

I'll be brief. I'm a college student who's studying to enter the business world. Every year I make a 3.5 or higher gpa, and I still find time to work out, snowboard, and maintain a steady job. I've been a model for a friend starting her own photography business in the Cities, and I've had offers from other agencies. However, my true interest is in running a business. I'm extremely ambitious, and when I set my mind to something there's almost no way that I won't complete the task. I'm looking for a woman who can keep up with me intellectually and physically. RELIGION:

I was born and raised ELCA Lutheran but rarely identify myself to others as "Lutheran/christian" unless asked. I basically consider myself a Christian. I've long believed that Jesus is up there shaking his head at all of us at the divisions we've drawn in His Church. The most important thing is John 3:16 and how we are saved by grace and not by deeds (Roman 3:23, 10, 12â??6:23â??5:8â??10:9, 10, 13.). The good deeds which we do are in thanksgiving to God for the grace he has given us.

I was born in April of 1975 and baptized as an infant in August of that year. I was "confirmed" in the church through Affirmation of Baptism at the end of 8th grade which is normal for us. I can't really pinpoint a spot in my life where I was "saved" other than that. I've always been Christian an as I've grown I've learned what it means to me.

I believe in the sainthood of all believers and The True Presence of Christ in the communion elements (i.e. the literal body and blood of Christ not just symbols). I've believed since I was a teenager that it is the duty of every believer to actively participate in the ministry of God's Church in the world. For some of us that is working directly in the ministry of the church (e.g. leading the youth, teaching Sunday school, assisting with communion, other participation in the worship service, assisting with funerals and refreshments for funeral receptions to name a few.), or other things such as witnessing, spiritual counseling of others, or things like helping the poor. At one point or another I've done most of these things.

FAMILY

I have somewhat of an unusual family structure. I am the youngest of 5 kids (two older brothers and two older sisters) all of whom are between 15 and 20 years older than I am. Most of them moved out on their own or got married when was very small and I've been an uncle since I was 2 1/2. I have 5 nieces and 5 nephews -- ranging in age from 14 to 30 -- and 2 (soon to be three) great nephews. My nieces and nephews growing up were more like cousins due to the ages. My family is very important to me and I don't see them nearly as much as I wish due to work and just everyone doing their own thing a lot of the time.

WHAT I WANT

Let me take the time to clarify here in case you are wondering and so you don't get the wrong idea. I have nothing against opposite sex friends -- I have many of them -- but what bothers me is when one person decides unilaterally early in the friendship (usually based upon superficial physical attractiveness) that that's all there will ever be, that frustrates me very much.

A true lasting romance must grow from friendship first. If a relationship grows into that then great, if not then you still have the friendship and that is a very valuable thing. The "just friends" to me is unfair and stagnates/eliminates the possibility of such growth.

I know what I want, it isn't too much to ask I don't think. I read all of the different things you can search by on dating websites and think to myself "I don't care how tall she, what her body type is or what her eye or hair color is" -- well that's not 100% true, I'm not sure I could be attracted to someone who dyed her hair green or an unnatural shade of red, but other than that I'm good -- I just want someone I can have a connection with and who I can get to know and hopefully fall in love with and have her fall in love with me.

Unfortunately that hasn't even come close to happening yet.

My passion in life is writing. I'm studying at the University of Minnesota Duluth for my English Major after transferring from a community college with my AA which would put me in my Jr. year here. I am a very independent, motivated, dedicated, well rounded guy. I served 5 1/2 years in the Army and deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan a few times. That time in definitely changed me but for the better. It has given me a new appreciation for all of the smaller things in life. Hello, potential friend/partner/lover/disaster...my name is John. I always have trouble with describing myself because I always try to factor in what other people would say .....which I guess makes me self-conscience. I love working with children...so I think I'm caring......hmmmmmm....let me see....I'm very honest and loyal to whomever I'm with. Seriously, though, I am very proud of my profession, education, artistic skill and parenting skills. What can I say hmmm... Well i'm 24 live and work in Duluth. On my free time in the warmer months of the year I like to fish, swim, hike and mountain bike, camp ect. Father of three beautiful little girls. My oldest is just starting kindergarden this year so that i cant wait for. I like to take time out of the day to just relax a bit. I am a free-spirited, 20 year old girl, I don't know where my life is heading, but I'm living every single second of it to it's fullest. I enjoy a multitude of different things. I am extremely passionate about music, it may be clique to say but it gets me through every single emotion that I feel, it can make me happy, sad, energized, tired, passionate, angry, etc. I have high respect to artists that can write the most beautiful unique lyrics that I could only wish to be able to write in words. Most days I can be seen at school or at work, both of which consume a massive amount of my time. It's funny because as much as I love school I have yet to find the motivation to actually excel in it. My mom and dad always have told me that I'm extremely smart but I just don't choose to use it. I'd much rather be doing anything else besides homework. I've been to two different countries in my life so far. Mexico and Japan, both of which were amazing, life-changing trips. I've only began to mark off the long list of countries that I want to travel to while I'm young and beautiful. I especially want to travel to Spain and other places in Mexico where I can immerse myself into what I think is the most beautiful culture ever. I can speak Spanish close to fluent as well and I wish that it was my first language.
I love to have a good time, It seems like I go through cycles where I party a lot and then I don't party at all, so I think it's safe to say that I love going out as much as I love staying in watching a movie and cuddling. what can I say, I'm a Minnesota country boy. I love the out doors, hunting, fishing, camping and exploring are how I like to spend alot of my time. When I'm not doing thoes I snowboard, play hockey and snow mobile in the winter. during the summer my friend and I roller blade about four miles a day, ride bikes and go for walks in the woods just to try to stay in shape a little. I would like to find someone to share some of my little adventures with, I beleive having common intrists is key to a lasting relationship. I kinda also want someone to push me a little in my exercise, I could stand to loose a few pounds I'm not saying I'm fat there's just room for improvement. Well, let's see here. Although i've been living in Duluth for awhile now, I'm still trying to meet new people. It can be difficult to meet people around here sometimes i suppose.

The first thing I would like to say is that I am nerd. There, now that I got that out of the way I can talk about other aspects of my personality. Um, I am shy. I donâ??t open up very easily and even have trouble talking to strangers. I will insert the standard note of â??I may be shy but I open up once you get to know me.â?? Despite the shyness this I go out dancing. Not just club dancing, you know the type you can do on your own but social dancing, like salsa. The type of dancing that requires asking someone else to dance. I also spend some free time playing video games. Walking, I walk a lot. Itâ??s fun. I also watch net shows. They are also fun. I know I said I would talk about aspects of my personality but I spent the whole paragraph talking about what I do, not who I am, but they only way to get to know who I am is to observe me though my actions.
